Anyone turned this into a nice single shot.  Seems like a natural 2020's schuetzen design?

I have a H&R handi rifle that I rechambered to 360 Buckhammer from 357 magnum. I shot a doe whitetail with it this past season. It's a high pressure round with factory loads, so it isn't single shot friendly for some rifles.

Here's my 35 caliber Schuetzen rifle. 35-40, squeezed down 38-55 brass. Buckhammer could be loaded down to make a good Schuetzen round I suppose. Not a good idea in a weak pitiful sorry old rifle like a Ballard, lest someone fire a factory round in one.

Beautiful Borchardt Mr Westener. Love the case and that stock. I am about to purchase a military action varmint rifle. It is in 220 swift I think. I will probably rebarrel it to something else.

I have a Borchardt chambered in 25 Krag improved. It's a Maurice Ottmar rifle so to nice to change. With the scope on it, it's a pain to load. And a pain to reload the shells. Still waiting on C&H for dies. I should rebarrel it.... If I do it won't be a Buckhammer.

Joe, I have a Borchardt in 30/40 Krag Improved and a scope.  It is one of my favorite hunting rifles and was built by Curt Hardcastle as a lightweight hunting rifle.  When I am shooting light loads at the range I just use a universal 30 caliber neck sizing die and seat with my Vickerman.  I use the same setup to load cast for my 30/40 Krag HiWall.  By using a series of universal neck sizing dies you should be able to size new 30/40 brass down to 24 caliber then fireform to get close to the required shoulder angle than shoot some higher pressure loads with the 25 caliber cast bullet seated into the lands to keep the case from moving forward.  If you want I can resize some Krag brass in my 7mm Krag Improved die then changing bushings I can get it to 25 caliber.  I am not sure if I have any 25 caliber bushings.  The only drawback is if my die does not set the shoulder back far enough for the case to chamber.  If I use a series of neck dies I can get you some 6mm-30/40 non-improved brass to fireform.  Let me know.  I have plenty of Krag brass to play with my technique and more time than I know what to do with!  Tom

Thanks for the kind offer Tom. I was able to make up a couple boxes of ammo. Enough to last me forever. If I remember right I used a 25-06 die and a 257 Roberts improved die and a 30-40 Krag die. Then fireformed. Mostly I like to have dies for a particular rifle in case I sell it. This one being rather unique needs a set of its own dies.

The cartridges are a little tricky to manage in the Borchardt.
