Im hoping to find someone who can appraise a shiloh sharps and accompanying accessories that I've inherited. I do not wish to sell it. Id like to know how much to insure it for if need be.

I'd call Shiloh and speak with them and they could give you a good estimate. Or go on their website and see what a new one would cost. I'd insure it for what it would cost to replace it.

It seems there is no info on anything below 3000? My rifle is sn B1794. Perhaps someone who has a rifle in the range and ordered it themselves could give me a rough date?

The best way, assuming you know what options it has, is just to go the Shiloh web site and use their order form to configure a new one with the same options.  You can easily double, or more, the value based on the options.

The fact that it has a B in the serial number is good.  That means it was built by the current owners and will be more desirable than those built by the first owners.

Probably a good used gun will sell for around 75% of a new one, but even that can vary.  Some configurations are only built very infrequently like those with 14,16, and 25 lb barrels.  Those won't see much if any discount.

Post some pics of the rifle and accesories so we can see what model Shiloh you have. Then someone can give you a good estimate. Without seeing what you have its hard to say. Since its got a B in front of the number its a Kirk built Shiloh but there is all different barrels, wood grades and finishes so can't say with out seeing it.
