I didn't need to try 'em to know I don't want to go there. Two separate shooters I encountered at the range tried coated bullets- one with commercially found bullets and another had invested in the technology to do his own. Neither achieved an increase in velocity, accuracy or ease of ammo prep. All I had to learn. 
Asked for one example to add to my motley assortment of curious ammo stuff and called it an end.
