Winter is gone and it's almost time to shoot at Beeson again! The Germanic target we'll shoot at next week at the RF match has been donated by Mike Creager. He has enlarged our boar target approximately 2.3 times and applied it to a wooden backer to closely resemble a vintage target. Since it's a large target, we'll shoot it at 100 yards-so sight in for that distance. We've standardized procedures for these small side matches to:
1) We begin shooting by purchasing 3 shots for $5. 2) Additional shots are $1 each until no one wants to purchase any more. 3) The Germanic match starts whatever day the target gets set up and ends at the end of the day Saturday. You may shoot the Germanic match during any relay, any day the target is set up. 4) A German/Austrian/or Swiss .22 rifle and ammo will be available to use if you don't have your own. 5) One to three free sighter shots may be taken on a sighter target before shooting  on the record target. 6) Prize options will be posted on the back tables in the clubhouse. (No free beers for participating in these matches. That only applies to the National Traditional Germanic Match during the Fall CF match where shots are more expensive.) 7) Each shooter in these small side matches gets ONE raffle ticket for the weekend with a chance to win an additional Bier, Sprecher's Root Beer, or fancy chocolate bar.
