Weird rear sight on Stevens favorite. (Read 84 times)

	This rear sight is on a favorite i bought at the Tulsa show. It's a little too symmetrical to be hand made. Pretty beat up by a previous heavy handed owner. Thought someone might recognize it. It doesn't look like any Stevens sight I've ever seen. Front sight has an added taller than usual blade in the typical front sight base. Everyone likes pictures so:

	The last picture shows the dovetail is deeper than the sight base. Just noticed that. It's not perfectly symmetrical but the radius on front, back, and sides are quite well finished.

	While not usually used on a favorite, that sight is a Stevens, the standard rear sight for a Crack shot #16, and the Marksman boys rifles.
