Disappearing topics

Is there some reason certain topics have disappeared such as “strength in numbers”, Pedersoli sharps firing pin, and the one about the 7mm rolling block headspace?

Nothing new, as it's happened frequently in the past. If you know a user who posted a reply on a thread you can simply bring up their previous replies and find the disappearing post, and then reply to it and it will be back at the top again.

If someone posts a reply, and then deletes that post, it makes the post invisible until someone posts on it again.  Glitch in the forum software.

The “strength in numbers” thread was on the last page of the general section.  I moved it back up to the first page.

Don’t know where the others went.

I didn’t know about the delete glitch!

There is a glitch that sends some posts to the end of the section.  If you know there was a post out there, look at the end of 350 pages of topics.   Dave's explaination is as good as it gets.   The only time one gets intentionally deleted (by the admins) is when things are spiraling  too far off topic.  I know how to pull the levers , but not how the machine runs......
