WTB bullet mold

Would like to buy a 40 cal mold that casts a .405 dia bullet of either 350 or 400 grains. Maker unimportant. Or if anyone has some .405 dia. bullets already cast they would sell me a few that would be good also. This is for an experiment I would like to try. I tried swaging .410 dia to .405 but is a bit much. I can order a mold but would like to get this going in short order.

I have a Winchester 40/82 mold that may fit your needs.

The bullet is about .820 long.

I have a number of various sized 40cal. molds and the only one that I have which comes close in diameter is a rare Lyman 403173 but it only weighs 280gr. and the diameter .404" Looking at an old Lyman catalogue you probably want the 406150(330gr) but I have never seen one in person. 40-82WCF was an express rifle and the typical bullets only weigh around 200-245g for the 403168 and 403169 molds.  I guess your best be would be Steve Brooks. I can send you some of the 403173 bullets if you would like to try them? Let me know.

Funny that the 403173 would pop up. I shot that today in a Steve Earle Wesson mid range 40-70. Fantastic action and bullet. 20 gr 4198.
