Slip on recoil pad

Im looking for a recoil pad to help tame a custom trapdoor that weighs out a hair under 8lbs. The shooters friend was recommended,  but buffalo arms has had it out of stock for a while.

Anyone have a recommendation or happen to have one lying around?

Does the shooters friend work with a crescent buttplate?  My Hepburn really lets you know you pulled the trigger with heavy hunting loads.  Tom

Don't know if anyone cares but Tourbon products come out of China and I personally will not use a communist made accessory on my good American rifle.

I've had good luck with the gel filled ones.  My first one was a "Recoil Eraser" which is no longer available.  Amazon has the GeToo version.  Not as pretty as the ones listed above, but I can't see it when I'm behind the gun and it comes off easily.

And they are really effectiive.

If you can find a shooters friend one they are the best at absorbing recoil.  I've shot a lot with those.  The Limbsaver medium works quite well too and fits my Shiloh rifles quite well.

Slip recoil pad's don't get much better than the limbsaver.
But I have went from those to the Shockeater t shirts with their recoil pad. Those work well under what ever shirt you're wearing and don't have a tendency to roll around like the slip on pads do, with the added benefit of not adding substantial length of pull, and do work very well with military and cresent butt plates.

Chris here's the link to their website, I've also bought them on Amazon.
Really do like the shirts. (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

I use a limbsaver on my .50-90 Shiloh and it works well.
