.22 Velo Dog

I participate in the International Cartridge Collectors Forum.  There has been some discussion of the .22 Velo Dog cartridge.  Did anyone ever make a single shot rifle for the cartridge?  Looks as if it would be just great in a Stevens 44 or even a Low Wall.

Is that the same as a Velo Dog?

The Velo Dog was designed in France as a revolver cartridge for cyclists to use to ward off aggressive dogs. I have never seen a rifle for it but would imagine that some were made in Europe. The Velo Dog will chamber in the Maynard but not the other way around because of case length. The Maynard is superior across the board and in my opinion the Velo Dog is a pretty useless cartridge.

I had a friend (now deceased) that had a rather odd European pocket revolver in that round. The trigger folded forward.

I have a Francotte Model 1910 Automatic in 6mm Francotte which is very close to the Velo Dog. I'm in the process of making ammo from 22 CCM brass but only have 50 cases. If anyone has some 22CCM brass hanging around I'd be an interested buyer.
