Early on Nimscke did many engraved Marlins, but by far the vast majority were engraved by Conrad Frederich Ulrich. The Ulrich family were all engravers and after Conrad stopped George Alden Ulrich took over. But his engraving started after Ballards halted production, so he did mostly Marlin lever action repeaters.
