For Sale: H.M. Pope (Jersey City) .22LR Ballard Rifle

This is a nice custom rifle that could be shot as-is or partially restored / refinished to be more traditional. Either way, it's cool ...

The receiver is cast and features double-set triggers. The triggers operate as they should with a crisp let-off. There is a receiver sight adapter attached to the octagonal top of the receiver that extends over the barrel. This receiver sight base is calibrated.

The full-round barrel measures 30" long and has a very good bore. There are no markings on the top of the barrel, but under the forearm it is marked: " 796 | A1 | 15.9 | .864 (?) | 6.14.35 " and "H.M. POPE".

The barrel has traditional scope blocks in addition to the front sight block.

The buttstock was done by D Hrusosky and has a single-prong Schoyen style buttplate. The forearm is darker and has an antler palm-rest that has been lacquered over.
