[SOLD] German Guild Takedown Martini Schuetzen

For Sale: German Guild Takedown Martini Schuetzen 7.6mm

This is a nice rifle. The action is a German Martini rifle with a takedown lever on the right side. I have not tried to remove the barrel, but it is on face and tight, no wiggle. The action has double-set triggers that work as they should with a crisp let-off.

The barrel measures 31-1/2" long and is full octagonal with a "tulip" transition where it meets the receiver. The barrel is marked under the forearm: " 7,6m/m | 4.25 | 754 " also B G U proof marks. The bore is good to very good.

The rifle has a German large-diameter aperture sight. The locking screw for distance looks like it may be slightly bent. The front sight has been replaced with a Lyman 17A using the original front sight ramp.

The stocks look original. The forearm has a little splintering on the left side at the tip. The forearm is checkered but worn on the bottom at the tip.

Price: $1,075 includes shipping via US Priority Mail.

The first "I'll take it" posted here gets it.

Thank you,
Joe D

Any idea what cartridge a " 7,6m/m | 4.25 | 754 " translates to?

Could the 4.25 be April 1925 and 754 be the entry number in the proof book?

It is an 8.15x46R, and has a very uncommon takedown system.
