So since Kroil is such a good penetrant won't it remove your bore seasoning? If you use seasoning.

I remember Fred using some sort of rod and a solution to clean his bores. Said his rifles would not shoot good after doing it. He reasoned that he had removed the seasoning.

I'm thinking about doing a little experiment with kroil. I've got 50 rounds left over from last weekends ram bash at Cavalier. So I'm going to shoot a test group then clean up with patches and kroil then shoot another group then clean the same way with kroil again and try a third group. When I clean up anything after cast bullets I've only used dry patches with it taking about 3 patches to make the bore spotless and I never use a brush in my Shiloh's. I'm going to use my backup Shiloh for the test just incase she doesn't shoot as well at the end of the experiment. I've got a feeling that it's going to flush out a lot of icky that I thought was a spotless bore. This same rifle surprised me on my last experiment with aneild brass it's groups shrank about a quarter inch with aneild cases and so did my other .45-70's
