I am looking for a POPE false muzzle #359. I know I have a much better chance on winning the BIG lottery but it's worth a chance.
Thank You

If I may tag along and add that I'm looking for #53.

Perhaps an information clearing house is in order where people looking for (or who have) lost numbered rifle accessories can get together to re-home the stuff to where it properly belongs.

Why does stuff like this get separated from the parent rifle in the first place? I never understood that blatant disrespect - greed, ignorance/stupidity, non-caring?

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I can tell you why. Once an owner passes away, if the false muzzle or accessories are not attached to the rifle his heirs have no idea what those items are, or what value they add. They sell off all the guns, and try to sell small items like false muzzles, or palm rests, or breech seaters without knowing they should stay with a particular gun.
Good records, or tags on these items to tell heirs what guns they go with are a must if we want to keep them together for future owners.
At least Pope numbered his barrels and false muzzles! One of my Schoyens in .38-55 is missing it's false muzzle and I've tried to just find a Schoyen false muzzle to display with it. I'll likely never find the correct one, even if I found a .38-55 Schoyen false muzzle.
