The main thing for me is not having any assra sanctioned matches around me. The magazine is really nice, but I have been able to get all the information I need here from the expertise on the forum

You make some very valid points for sure. Though I personally can't compete I realize all too well that sanctioned shoots are frankly very few and more often require covering lots miles. I'd be interested in just how many miles somebody like Westerner travels a year to score so well all the time. Driving like he does is tough on the body so how does he do it. For me I'm a member because I strongly believe in support especially for a historic sport with so much technical depth and camaraderie. The magazine is a cherry on top that under Joe's control just gets better with every issue. Where else can you find such history and information

I rarely stray more than 30 miles from home.  Most of the old single shot guys I know are dead.  Just compete against my self, on as many Tuesdays as my body and the weather permit.  But I'm still a member.  Just renewed.

I'm pushing 86 and I have 3 Ballards, a Borchardt that was a bad investment, a Farrow that wasn't, a couple of Low Walls, 3 Winders, 3 real High Walls & a Spaghetti, a #5 roller that I need to do something with, a BSA International, 2 Stevens and a few that I'm unsure of.

I enjoy this Forum. Probably why I’m on it before 7:00 a.m. Valuable information and free advice, but FREE is only what someone else is paying for. There is a cost to ASSRA for providing this free service, right?

I was kind of backdoor asking Westerner how he does it. The skill part and accuracy can't be put into words really but I'm interested in his mileage and dedication to the sport cause I think it may be an interesting benchmark. I'm sure there are many others in his league but not many. Care to share Westener ?

I rejoined some months ago based on positive comments about the magazine.  The shared expertise in these forums is invaluablre.  Hope to score a good deal on a high wall some day.  BPJack has to sleep sometime...

I always keep one eye open.  Even when sleeping. I actually have a Stevens Pope .22 low wall that I am considering selling. #4 octagon barrel. Doubles as an exercise dumbbell.

I've been a member for a long time. There are no ASSRA sanctioned matches near me.
Places I shoot at are Butte MT, Hamilton MT, Missoula MT, Spokane WA, Raton NM, Soda Springs ID, Blackfoot ID.

I miss attending ASSRA open relay Schuetzen matches like the ones at Etna Green.

Thanks for the information;
I tried the "Link" for membership renewal.
It appears they only do Venmo or Paypal, etc.

While I don't do either I have to jump thru the hoops
BTW, I don't do social media of any sort, Face, twitter, totter, twidee, dee etc.

Last time I went to renew I ran into the same thing and got distracted.

However in a recent follow up effort I did get the following from "Charlie"

Address:
to
ASSRA Membership
Charles Shaw
3345 Hoover Road
Nashville, Indiana 47448

Your info:
Name
Address
E-Mail
Phone Number
And a check for $60 1 year , $110 for 2 Year, $165 for 3 year membership per your decision. Payable to ASSRA

I will then put your info in as a new member.

==================================

Hope this info helps....  Usually it's not this hard to spend money..!

I just renewed last weekyesterday with my credit card. When it comes time to pay click the PayPal Checkout and you can just enter a card. You don't need a PayPal account. You do need to enter your email so the receipt can be sent to you. Let me know if you need any help.
