Your rifle is very similar to the one my uncle had (my dad's oldest bro) but, his was in 6.5 x 54. 

I've always remembered that rifle and it is the reason I started collecting 1888 Commission rifles, 30 years ago.

This is as close as I got to a Mannlicher-Schoenauer. It's a DST '88 Carbine, with a 300 Savage barrel and magazine. A poor man's Mannlicher-Schoenauer.
