McGowen Barrels?

I have had my barrel order and deposit in for 10 weeks. No one ever answers the phone or replies to a email or ph. message. Are they still in business?
Hard to believe they lack an office secretary for a simple status check.

My first (and last) dealing with McGowan was MANY years ago.   I sent off an order and a check and after what seemed like a long time, I had a note from them that my barrel was done and if I would send them what amounted to about 20% more money, they would send it.

My one and only dealing with McGowen was when I ordered a barrel for my 38-56 Marlin 1895 with a 12" twist. No problem they said. Barrel was sent to John Taylor for the install. Turns out it was a 14" twist, though marked on the barrel as a 12" twist. No more McGowen barrels for me.

I had the same issue.  A friend ordered a 12 twist for me to install and got a 10 twist, though it was marked 12. I bought the 10 from him and he got his 12 on the second order.
