Whitneyville action

I've recently aquired a Whitneyville rolling block in .32-40. I'm not looking for hot loads but wonder if this would be considered a weak action.  Internals lood good as for wear and I think the rifle has been shot quite a bit.
Thanks

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

The Whitney Rolling Blocks came in two variations; a Laidley split block and one that was almost identical to the #1 Remington. Both were full sized Rolling Blocks and plenty strong enough for .32-40 cartridges in most loads. I'd always suggest loads under 25,000 psi for any Rolling Block though. I own an early Whitney-Laidley factory chambered in .45-70 I shoot often with my loads around 1350 fps using 4198 powder.
