Thanks, I kept seeing different things that didn't look right. Note (on this drawing that I made for CPA years ago) the angles of the 2 rear screws are angled towards the rear, and the "close to the edge" other screw, totally match a 44 1/2, not a 44. (yellow arrows).
But the cutout lower receiver and the pivot, look like the 44, not 44 1/2 (blue).
(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) Not sure what you’re asking or seeing.
Your drawing looks like an early 44 action, lower side wall than the later action, maybe a little more square cut. But not a 100 series that was square like the sidelate models.
The block you drew looks like it used a 7 o’clock extractor which rode on the side of block instead of centered. Again indicating early 44 production.
As for trigger screw holes, on the 44, the trigger pivoted on the pin, that places the hole more or less between the screw holes on models fitted with the double set tang. You can’t really add set triggers to a 44, had to be done at the factory, or plug the existing hole. 44 1/2 used a two screw tang for both single and double trigger varieties.
The photo is a 6 o’clock extractor, model 44 action, fitted with double set triggers. The trim on the one in thread is 47 and with the extra thick action, is what makes it a Schuetzen.
