I have heard that Winchester made several models of the 1885 High Wall Schuetzen's rifles. Does anyone know what the differences between the models are, or where I can find out?
Thank You

Do you know what the tool is in the bottom center of the case?  The one that looks like a thin rod about a foot long?

thanks,

Chris.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I have a very similar cleaning rod with 4 extensions that came in a cased Schoyen Ballard I bought. The handle section has it's one place, and the sections fit into a brass tube that looks like it was made from an old short brass telescope body that someone soldered caps over the threaded end pieces.

I didn’t know you kept the rifle.  Thought you sold it!

I wasn’t sure it was the same but it sure looked close.  Even the wood graining looked close even though on opposite sides.

I kind of thought I wanted that cased rifle, that’s why I have the picture.  You and Tom are bad influences!
Bob

Who's trademark was it to put the black diamond insert in the pistol grip? Strange that there's two similar rifles out there that have it unless it's well known smith?
