Anschutz single shot

I have an older model 1407, 54 target rifle that needs either a stock refurbishment or preferably a lighter stock replacement in composite or other material.
I tried googling for it with no results. Any help with this is appreciated.
Here is a pic that makes it look good.

I shot a 54 super match, older model than yours, Smallbore prone when working in Australia. Returning home no nearby Prone matches went back to Smallbore and BPC silhouette.

Sold the 54 and bought a 1700 model Anschutz for Hunter Rifle class. It was less expensive to switch, the 54 super match would have needed extensive modification to meet silhouette rules. Stock, Barrel, and iron sight to scope. The 1700 series had the same action and trigger as the 54 that's all.  Less than a year later sold the 1700 for what i paid and switched to more single shot matches & added lever action competion.

Look at the optional rifle for the intended use before stock switching  my advice. Alterations rarely return the money spent.

My first stop would be to give the folks at Anschutz U.S.A. a call. You'll be speaking to a real human being who is knowledgeable and helpful. If they don't have the right stock they may be able to point you in the right direction.

I agree with Boats, trade up to what you want. Stocks are more expensive then there worth. You won’t recoup the expense.

Here's what I have found. There is a gunsmith 25 miles from my home that does stock refinishments for $360 but he has a huge backlog. It would take some patience  from me to get it done.

My 54 or 64 did not look nearly as good

Stock as pictured looks fine. 54's are target rifles, several design features that improve scores don't help appearance.  It could be freshened up with a good cleaning and waxing. Could post my recipe if anybody is interested.  Gunsmiths rate reasonable for a complete strip sand and finish, but I don't see that need in the photo.

If something different is the objective better to sell and buy. No offense intended, opinion not all will agree

I concure with the others the rifle looks good in the picture.  Is there something we are missing?
