Apparently I'm not as disorganized as I thought.  Orville's copy of the 550gr Sharps bullet weighs only 534gr ( not sure of the alloy he used ), it's 1.481" long and has a shallow hollow base.  0.443" in diameter.

That’s a long bullet for its weight. Of course the hollow base would account for that imagine. 
What ever happened to Orville? Is he still active on Shiloh?

I haven't seen him post there in a long time.  He gave me that bullet maybe 10 years or so ago when I was at one of Steve Rhoades matches in Arizona.  I'd never met him before but he seemed like a really nice guy, and a heck of a lot more knowledgeable about Sharps history than me. He seems to have stopped posting on the Shiloh forum, but if there is a Sharps Collectors forum anywhere, I'll bet he'd be on there.
