Finding value of a rare rifle

At 75 Y.O. wife and I are disposing of a lifetime of accumulation to make things easier for our heirs.  I've slowly dispersed of most of my firearms and next one to go will be my Browning Creedmoor BPCR.  .45-90 caliber.

My issue is that AFAIK there were only a little over 300 made of this particular configuration.  One time special run. Mine has only been fired three times and is in as close to 100% condition as possible.

I’ve tried to look on various auction sites but either they have more wear or are behind a paywall.

It’s an absolutely beautiful rifle with phenomenal craftsmanship.  I’d like for it to go to someone that will actually use it.  To this point it’s been a safe queen.

Any thoughts appreciated

Go to (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) and search for browning 1885.  There's a few for sale there.

Isn't Texasmac an authority of such matters?  I think he is on this forum.

There are a few browning 45-90's on gunbroker the going price for bpcr's seems to be around the $2k range. Yours is limited,  but not a huge market unfortunately

At one time (2 or 3 or more years back) the market price for the Browning .45-90 BPCR was around $2,500, some as high as $3,000.  Unfortunately that's no longer the case.  I recently counted 13 of the Browning BPCRs on Gun Broker including three 45-90s. In general the market has softened a good bit with .40-65 & 45-70 versions selling (not listed) in the $1500 to $1700 range & even pristine .45-90s around $2,000 at most.

BTW, there are some of the Browning BPCRs listed for significantly more, but they never sell.  So, when checking value on GunBroker, only do an advanced search for those that sold.

Due to the above, I'm no longer buying & selling the rifles, but do continue to keep tabs on the market.
