In 60+ years I’ve only managed to acquire three of these Win. Thick wall M85 actions to build a rifle on. No. 1 has been gone so long I can’t remember where it went ! No.2 I still have it’s a coil spring w/ D.S. Triggers & has a heavy Scherer- Pence bbl. In .40-50 S.S. A favorite shooter of mine for some 30+ years & has won a few match’s along the way too !   No. 3 is the action  photo’d. & described here. It’s a genuine antique , 2nd year production ser. #26xx. Has the single set trigger & a C.F. Breech Block,also w/ the flat spring & bbl. “Boss”. Receiver has no visible finish (it’s only 140 yrs old) but is exceptionally clean w/ no dings & unmolested,see pix. Price @ $1150.l don’t ship .as to many bad experiences w/ USPS !
