Springfield m2 with Eric Johnson 5 ⭐️ barrel

I’m getting ready for our BP club’s .22 match. I have a rifle barreled by Eric Johnson with his HEAVY 5star barrel on a Springfield M2 action. It’s a single shot bench gun built by Al Freeland. I’m putting this one in the “scoped” category and am figuring out the “open sight” entry now.
I actually got the shop records which is cool to get the history of it. I shot a “50X” last year to beat out my cousin (who was borrowing the rifle) who shot a “49xxxx”. Both targets hang in the clubhouse still. Fun times, unfortunately it’s VERY COLD with -15 wind chill right now and gusting winds of 20mph so no shooting today…

Unfortunately your rifle is not recognized as a single shot rifle on this forum. Therefore you need to trade it in a on a falling block, tipping block, rolling block, break open, swiver breech or some form to conform. A Ballard is a good choice. Winchester single shot, Hepburn, rolling block, etc etc, but not a bolt gun.  Sorry. Sorry you didn't get to shoot today.

Rimfire Central has a dedicated forum for the Springfield 22s (I think). Your rifle and info would be welcomed there.

Sorry for the confusion. This was the place where I contacted to get the shop records to find out about the Johnson/ Freeland
rifle. I contacted the archives. Glad they were able to help. Thanks for your time and patience.
