28-30 UMC round looks reloaded.

Was reading up on the 28-30 and saw that it was recommended to not fire the original rounds due to the primers used. So I grabbed my 1 28-30 round to disassemble and noticed what appears to be a more modern silver primer. This doesn't look original to me. I'll still pull the bullet, dump the powder, and use a new primer. Just curious.

The bullet was a slip fit in the brass. Pulled it out and there was a small charge of smokeless flake powder. Yeah, it's not original.
