Guessing since he heard the other guy say it was shot with Blue Dot he just used whatever charge that guy told him to use.

From time to time I’ve watched howto videos on “You Tube” that purport to demonstrate proper bullet casting techniques, however they all have the same thing in common….the people who’ve made them haven’t got the slightest idea what they’re doing. This video on schuetzen is OK, I’d give it a C-. The ASSRA/ISSA needs to make some videos demonstrating proper schuetzen loading and shooting. I know there’s members here that could put together some better videos this one.

I've watched a video from someone here that was well done. Don't remember who.

That was likely the John Merz video that used to be on the ASSRA home page, but now shows "unavailable" when you try to view it. Very well done, and I believe first aired on Shooting USA.

Found it on Youtube:

I too wish someone would make a good instructional video on the proper methods and tools. My Hepburn in 32-40 Hepburn I built I am sure is capable of very good accuracy but I must do my part. I tried using some cobbled up tools in the past for breech loading that didn't work very well. I would appreciate a picture of a good workable seating tool with maybe a print or drawing (I can build most anything) for a Hepburn.

The seater design that I make which uses a cam to push the bullet into the throat while utilizing the shoulder of the breech block mortise to ‘hook’ can be used for a Hepburn with some modifications to the front lug. I only make them for high walls but tried a mockup in a Hepburn for a forum member. I will post some info tomorrow.

Finest breech seating tool made in my opinion is the one Jerry Cleave makes. They look like a Swiss watch maker built them, and work flawlessly! Works of art for guns!
