A 311316 is my Browning 53's favorite. My older 32-20s like 3118 and 31133 (3118 with a HP), and the newer one Accurate 31-125M and the gas check version 31-125MG for slightly heavier bullets in a choked BRC barrel. I also have a 4-gang Hensley and Gibbs #65 mold for a conical bullet for revolvers.

The rifle in question shoots good with factory jacketed ammo but not so good with 20-1 plain base bullets. So I'm thinking hard gas check bullets may work.
Currently I'm having problems with Ebay. I'd rather buy here anyway.

Wes, have you found anything to what they say about a barrel that has been shooting jacketed won't shoot lead good until extra effort has been made to clean all jacket material out? Another thing I've found is that some barrels require sizing to no smaller than .313 while most are fine with .312.

In the eighties and nineties I practiced with cast bullets in both my highpower rifles. The match rifle and the spare. I found equal accuracy using jacketed and lead bullets without cleaning fouling or copper out of the bores. I was using Nosler blems and Lyman 311-413 gas check bullets.
42 gr Accurate 2520 and 30 gr IMR 4895.
Yes I've heard those things. The cast bullets often scored higher than the jacketed bullets at 100 yards prone. Maybe because of less noise and recoil?

Thanks, Wes. I asked because I've never shot jacketed except in high power hunting and varmint rifles. All my casting is in 1 to 20 except 1 to 16 for 22 Hornet and a long nosed BPCR bullet. Well, thinking about it, 50 to 60 years ago I used wheel weights.
