What are the twists rates in the following calibers?
25-20 SS
25-20
25-21
25-35

Do they vary by gun manufacture?
Thank you in advance.

Those are all going to be around 13"-14" twist rate. I can't tell you what each maker used.

Stevens offered 1/12 and 1/13 for all Those cartridges except 25-35 and 25RF.
Not sure they even chambered any in 25-35. 25RF was 1/17.

Bore/groove 250/257 with some tolerances for the era +/- .002.

A lot of people report a 250” groove for the 25RF, personally have never seen one, but I trust those who have. I have ammo that was produced when the chambering was introduced, the bullets measure .256”

25-35 is commonly 1 in 8.

The 25-35 was intended for jacketed bullets and relatively high velocity.  Relatively heavy (117 grain) bullets required a faster twist, hence 1 turn in 8".

The others were lead bullet cartridges.  I have a Stevens in .25-20 SS with a .251 groove diameter and a 1 in 17" twist.  Barrel is marked "25/20" with the standard Stevens stamp.

My 1893 Marlin takedown is a .25-36 Marlin and has a 1:9" twist. This is the cartridge Winchester modified slightly and called theirs the .25-35 Win.
