On Tuesday I saw a copy of a new book by Roy Marcot which looks like a very nice reference on Sharps guns. SHARPS FIREARMS - A Collector's Guide. I sent a note to Roy asking where it might be available and replied that it will be on Ebay among other outlets.

Talked to Roy the other day.  Originally, he said he would reprint Volume II if they had 200 orders.  I asked how many orders he had at the present and he said 40 as I had put in for three copies.  Now, however, he states that if they receive 100 orders, they will reprint the book.

Additionally, Roy said Leo Reminger and he (there may be another author as well, but I forget to easily) are putting together a book on the buffalo hunters, copies of invoices and other pertinent information.  I am down for 3 of these.

I assume that the 40 orders include those who said they would take a copy on the Shiloh forum? It would be nice if there was one place to get on an official list instead of a few people on the Remington forum and a few on the Winchester forum and a few on the Shiloh forum and a few here saying they would take a copy, and maybe there is somewhere that I'm not aware of. Also maybe some of the businesses that cater to these old guns and their customers like Shiloh, C Sharps, Buffalo Arms, Track of The Wolf, would order some copies to help get the numbers up enough for it to happen.

I just was able to find the Facebook post from August 2025 which Mr. Marcot requests those interested in purchasing a reprint of Volume 2 to email him and include a phone number so those interested can be contacted with updates. At that time he said it would take 200 copies to consider issuing a reprint.

So let’s get those emails sent
