The subject of local Schuetzen events comes up often, and the process of organizing them is also a frequent source of discussion.  We’ve been having the only such event in Central VA for over a decade now, and as some of our shooters have lost interest or “aged out” the numbers of participants have dwindled, and a fair number have dropped back to one day of shooting.

SOOOO, I’m going to try something different for Spring.  Our regular June dates got preempted for the VA State Sporting Clays Tournament, and I decided to back up a month and use the last Saturday in May, the 30th and have a one day event.  I have reserved the rifle range all day Friday the 29th for prep and if anyone wants to come early to help set up and maybe get in some practice, you’ll be welcome… then we can go out to dinner together if you wish.  As always we’ll have events for OH and bench for all ASSRA eligible single shots at ranges of 100 and 200 yards.

Let’s see if we can have a good event to keep Schuetzen alive in Central VA.
