Artistic Arms Borchardt

Hello all, I'm somewhat new to this forum but I have been interested in the Borchardt action for a while now. I had given up hope of being able to afford one and had started to look into building one. Just recently however, a borchardt built by artistic arms showed up on Gunbroker and I was able to get it for a reasonable price. It is chambered in 220 Swift and the barrel thankfully looks brand new. I wasn't too thrilled at first about the stainless barrel, but it doesn't look too bad. It appears to be a very well made action. It's not an exact copy of a borchardt in that the lever and the safety are different. There may be other differences too that I have not noticed.

I can't find much about Artistic arms online, so if anyone knows much about these reproductions I'd be interested to know. All I found was another post on this forum where a guy posted an old ad. Based on that old ad, it sounds like the trigger should be adjustable on this particular model, but I don't see how. So if anyone knows that or other fun facts about them let me know.

Hi dealdan, post a Pic of the bottom of the action with the action open, may be able to see if there is any adjustment screws for trigger or sear engagement.

The actions are 4140 chrome moly steel. I bought one back in the early 80's and had Rich Hoch barrel it chambered in .40-90 SBN, 30" tapered round. I believe I have a scan of the original manufacturer's brochure. They ever offered some completed rifles, up to SN 150 per the brochure, but I never encountered one. Mostly they just provided military styled actions in the white. I re-contoured mine to resemble a sporting Borchardt. Reinhart Fajen supplied a roughly inletted stock and I fitted and finished the stock myself.  I was friends with Wolf Droege at Shiloh Products in Farmingdale, and I had him color-case the action with the finish he was using on the 1863 Sharps repros at the time (actually a chemical coloring applied by a company named Heintzelman)
When I can get around to it, I'll post photos of my rifle and the original manufacturers brochure.
Here's a gallery with the Artistic Arms brochure and my .40-90 SBN

Neither side of the breech block has any sort of screws but there is a small Allen set screw in the back of the breech block. See attached picture
