Can’t say I’m a huge fan of the lever. Will end up with a factory lever. Barrel is definitely heavy. Will need to also add dovetails and fill screw holes. Seems like someone was doing some bench shooting with it.

You only need one front dovetail if shooting iron sights. All Ballard actions are D&T for tang sight screws. Likely it's got scope base holes for a target scope since it doesn't have a front dovetail.
Is this a two line rollstamp or three line on the left side of the action? Hope it's a two line if it's a .32-40! Not good if it's a three line cast action and a .32-40 chambering.

I can’t make out the roll stamp but looks to be 2 line. But being a 32 I guess it could possibly be a schutzen caliber like 32 RKS or Miller short. But I’m betting on 32-40 or 32-20.
