If you only have one 25-20 SS rifle and the brass you have will chamber and you neck size only (a good idea anyway to extend brass life) then 25-20 WCF dies and a 223 shell holder will work just fine at a very reasonable cost.

I have asked this question before to no answer.
Why? I have a Maynard #16 in 25-20 SS. Why I ever bought it I don’t have a clue. I can’t shoot it in any of the matches I go to. Too small a caliber. And I don’t hunt chipmunks or squirrels. Why does someone want to own a 25-20 SS? Looking forward to hearing.thanks

You're going to the wrong matches;-) How about a quarter bore match? Put the rifle on the for sale list? Maynard was famous for its accurate barrels.

I sure there are many answers. For me. I enjoy thr chsllenge of bringing a long obsolete rifle back to life. I dont shoot competitively or hunt - I just shoot for my own pleasure. Anybody can buy off the shelf calibers, but some of us march to a different drum. It doesn't have to be a practical reason. In my golden years I've become fond of the .25s. I have rifles in .25 Steven rimfire and centerfire, .25-20SS, and a couple of .25-25 Stevens. I load for and shoot them all.
