What velocities are you folks getting in your original Hiwall .32-20s? I’m interested in accuracy more so than “ It didn’t blow up the action.”
Thanks.

Call me crazy but I would much rather have a 32 H&R mag in the 1885 than the .32-20. I know it's not traditional but it's more practical and more accurate. The 1885 design is time worthy for most any caliber!

though the .32-20 can match .32 H&R ballistics from a rifle. Key differences are case design (bottleneck vs. straight), power (H&R is generally stronger in handguns), and reloading (H&R is simpler)

My notes suggest this load is the most accurate:
Original low wall with the addition of scope blocks.

115 gr bullet
Lyman.  311008BD
9.7 grains      4227
1250 fps

I have a relined Low Wall in .32-20.  My favorite load of 11.0 gr SR-4759 behind the 115-gr Ideal 3118 was around 1650 ft/sec, depending on the primer used.

For a little bit better ballistics, you might try the 130 gr, 311410 PB mold.

Lowwall with a TJs liner-
Accurate Molds 31-110JC 110g GC bullet sitting on 13.7g of AA1680 gives 1635FPS.

After digging out my chronograph notebook Here's what I found.
I use Arsenal molds copy of the Lyman 311008 with starline brass and small pistol primers.

Unique 4.0 grs 1146.3 fps ave 98.04 es 27.96 sd

Unique 4.3 grs 1220.0 fps ave 28.98 es 8.48 sd

Unique 4.5 grs 1249.0 fps ave 42.17 es 13.71 sd

Trailboss 2.5 grs 847.0 fps ave 38.70 es 14.24 sd

All of this data came from a Uberti 85 copy in .32-20 with a 30" barrel. This next load came from my Stevens model 44 special order with a 32 1/2" barrel.

Reloader 7    13.5 grs 1521fps ave 47.64 es 15.00 sd

IMR 4227  9.5 grs est fps 1150  I haven't chronographed this one yet but the Stevens likes it too.
I've found most .32-20's shoot well between 1150 to 1250 fps.
