Does anyone know of a company that makes steel targets that really ring like a bell when hit? I like to shoot the little guns at 200 yds and would like a target that really sounds off when hit with the 25 and 32 peewee loads with light bullets.

I think there called frying pans from goodwill or salvation army.

Bent_Ramrods is far better. I have to check on 7.5, 8, and other circular saw blades which are very cheap at garage sales.

If you can find a lumber mill, a large, cast-off circular saw with the dulled teeth ground off can be heard from 500 yards at least.

Weld a couple eyelets to the edge and hang it by a couple lengths of chain.

At Tommy Mason’s Stars and Stripes range in 9 Mile Falls Wa, there are a couple of gongs to the far right at 200 yds.  One appears to be a cutoff oxy cylinder and the other a fire extinguisher. A couple of years back at the start of the 100 yd .22 offhand relay, I took a fowling shot at the larger gong. A nice loud ‘ding’ was the result and the shooter to my right said “Did you just hit the gong?”  I just smiled.

Just reminiscing about the good old days Smiley

Our range gongs out to 500 meters have to be tank armor or the black rifle guys would turn them into Swiss cheese.
