FS: Very Rare and Unique Low Wall Buttstock

You may never have the opportunity to find such a unique stock again in your lifetime.  Genuine custom made buttplate crafted from genuine unknown steel.  I glued a large chip back on the top of the butt end that was held on with genuine antique scotch tape.  Unfortunately the tape was not salvageable.  The presence of old hard glue made me use some brown tinted Acraglas to secure it back on.  As you can see there is a very ugly unique dished cheek area.  I am sure that you expert wood craftsmen could graft on a raised cheekpiece if this wonderful feature is undesirable.  I applied a quick coat of Truoil after sanding the repair, but the entire stock would benefit from a refinish.  If it were for a high wall I would keep it, but I have no need for a low wall stock. All this can be yours for one easy payment of $65 plus actual USPS ground advantage shipping at Pirate ship rates.

First "I recognize the unique nature of this so I will take it"
will become the new proud owner.

Jack

And, since I know you are curious, the answer to "can the dished area be totally removed and still maintain the correct contour.", the answer is Nope!

Art,
I have never in my life been known for being OK.  Just ask my friends or fellow asylum residents.  If I had a dime for every time a coworker asked me that, I could have retired a few years earlier.

If anyone is really interested but too embarrassed to let others know they want it, just send a PM and I will keep your identity a secret.  🤫

I can speckle it with cold blue if you’d like. It maybe you would prefer a rubber pad. I could fit a prong plate but that would double the price. Hurry before it is gone !

Maybe a rubber recoil pad is what you really want.  It would help tame the .22 rf recoil if that is what is bothering you.

could you carve a buffalo into it? and put in Phillips head screws. They have twice as many chances to 'clock' as the ones already installed.

I was thinking that outlining the cheek 'dish' with domed brass tacks would add some high-lite.  Wes Turner likes them brass tacks on stocks. Hopefully eBay buyers won't be as tough a crowd as you find on here Smiley.

Only thing missing is an inlet compass and white diamond inlays.

I have another low wall stock with inlays.  I though about inletting a 1 oz silver buffalo round into the stock until silver went over $75 an ounce.
