32 Long Winchester low wall

I recently picked up a nice  low wall in 32 long, #1 barrel. I’m looking for suggestions for another.32 caliber. Not a 32-40. Something that I can shoot in 200 yd matches, get or make brass and buy a die set.

Depending on the actual bore diameter it might make a good .32-20 but you will have to convert the breach block to center fire.

I have the same rifle. I converted it to 32 S&W. I swapped out the breech block for a center fire and cleaned up the chamber with a S&W reamer. I can plink all day now.

For you guys wanting 32 plinkers, I have a lot of .32 S&W Long ammo, 400 to a case, for $225 per case, including shipping.

Buy a case for a lot of fun plinking, and a lifetime supply of brass for reloading.

I'll put an ad in the classifieds.

For those interested in converting:

Nothing is going to be a good fit.  The .32 long rimfire has a small chamber for heeled bullets.  Dimensions are:

Bullet .316, neck, .318, base .318, rim .377, length 0.79

For the 32 s&w long:
Bullet .312, neck, .335, base .335, rim .375, length 0.93

So, with a rechamber, the 32 s&w long will work, but the lead bullets would have to bump up a bit, which they should without problems.  On reloading, could just use bigger bullets.

.310 cadet maybe? An oddball to be sure but it's a  .323" heeled bullet @ 120 grs.
