Restoration by CPA Rifles - Paul Shuttleworth and very well done. Breech block locks up firmly, double set triggers are excellent. 8.15 x 46R breech seat chamber. Douglas XX barrel, .3213" groove, 16 twist, 28". Very nice walnut with minor handling marks. The forend is epoxy bedded to barrel and action. The buttstock is epoxy bedded to the action and the butt plate. Nicely blued. Shoots very well with a tapered Pope style 185gr bullet using 4227, 300MP and H110. Includes a breech seating tool with plenty leverage to seat bullets. 20 fire formed cases made from Starline 375 Winchester brass. Includes a Lyman 17 front sight (not mounted in pics). I love this Ballard but my shooting is from the bench at this point in life and the Schuetzen design is not ideal for me. I want someone to own this that can really appreciate what it was built to do. Asking $2750 Shipped, No FFL required for "Antique"

That buttstock is about 8 months pregnant. Are you hoping for a straight grip or pistol grip baby stock?

Is that what they called a perch-belly back in the day?
I'm calling seconds if the primary falls through.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

That's well beyond what we'd call a perch belly stock. That's dedicated offhand stock fit to a particular shooter's shape.
