Been looking for one for a while.  Wondering about the Butt Plate if anyone has info!  Won't have it for at least 2 weeks.  Like it or not I'm turning into a Collector 😉.  Last month I bought a Tip Up in .22 rf.  Is there a cure?  David

Nice 414.
The buttplate isn't factory,  someone added the buttplate. Most 414's have a flat hard rubber buttplate, some have a blued flat steel plate with serrations.

Here's what the original stock om my 414 looked like. looks like your barrel has been shortened.

For anyone interested there is a 414 advertised on Brand Used Works auction    (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
I purchased one at an estate sale some time ago and love it.  Original sights and configuration on the one I have.

My Dr. told me after many test's that I had Singleshotitis. No known cure. Thank goodness !!!

I thought this was one of those ailments many guys hope to come down with? And avoid any remedies that might cure it!
