Crimp tool for heeled bullets?

Does anyone out there make a crimp tool for heeled bullets?
I've got a couple of BSA cadets and I'd kinda like to properly load the rounds for them.

Old west bullet moulds makes them for 32 & 38 cal I believe. I made my own from a Lee factory crimp die using Old West's pictures as inspiration.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Why would you need a crimp on a heeled bullet? Once seated the bullet wont move normally, but if it could spin in the case just use your sizing die to size down the loaded cartridge and it should tighten up without crimping. I've done this on both my .32 Long and .38 Long Ballard cartridges.

Ditto on no crimp die needed. I’ve used .32 and .38 heeled bullets. Either just push them or sometimes used the sizing die.

I agree in a single shot rifle a crimp isn't needed unless you're seating into the lands where to an unfired round might pull the bullet. I shoot my heeled bullets in a Marlin lever gun so I crimp.

I shoot a number of different heel bullet cartridges and have several Old West crimp tools, they work great. But another thing I use is Loctite. Just make sure there is no bullet lube on the heel. Its easy, cheap and works great.

If you are on facebook check out the obsolete rimfire and heel bullet bullet discussion group I run. (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

I want to crimp the rounds because when I extract a live round lots of times the bullet stays in the chamber spilling powder in the action. I'll try running them through the sizer again but I have a feeling that is going to squeeze the bullet and not the brass.
