bpjacks seater was basically free

Sort of Smiley

I have this mold from Buffalo Arms that ended up being too big for my 32-40's (BACO 323200) so I tried shooting it in fixed ammo a couple of times with terrible results.

The other day I decided to see if Jack's breech seater could get this thing seated in the throat.  It turns out that it does seat it pretty easily, so now I might be able to use that mold instead of leaving it on the back shelf.  So the seater paid for itself.

That bullet is not quite as good as the Mos 5 groove mold I bought from CPA, but looks like it has potential.  100m, 5 shots on the top target with the Mos bullet, 7 on the bottom target with the Baco bullet.  Top right shot was a trigger jerk shot.

Chris.

doggone it, Chris, the only bullet out of the group and you go and blame me by putting my name right on the target! You should call it something more obscure, like Westerner wanderer. Yeah, that'll do. Roll Eyes

A mold of my choice?  You need a 7mm GC?

Yeah, this one normally has an 8x DZ arms scope but today I had a 10x MVA scope on it.  I don't know if there was any advantage wit the MVA today.  It was a really dark morning.

It's pretty simple.   Breech seated with a single case, CCI BR2, IMR-4227 dropped from my new Harrell's Schuetzen measure.  A little over 14gr. Setting was 128.  The bullet in the top target is from the 5 groove Mos bullet that CPA had on their web site a while back, and the lower one is the BACO 323200 sized to 322.  Alberta Schuetzen lube.  Seated with bpjack's seater tool.   The rifle is an older C. Sharps highwall with a 1:14 twist Badger barrel.  It's not chambered with their reamer though.

That BACO bullet is still a little wonky though because you can see tipping at 100m.

I usually shoot the Saeco 200gr tapered bullet in that rifle but I will play around with the Mos bullet.  That 5 shot upper group could be a fluke.  The rifle shot a target like that with the Hoch 322200 once but only once.
