Email the editor and ask if he might consider other formats and venues for distribution. JonnyV <JonnyV4570@gmail.com>

It can already be downloaded and you don't have to be a Facebook user. I shared this link last week. Wink

IS BPCR News dead?

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

"Black Powder loaded 22 rimfire"    ???
So Far, the "BPCR 22 Matches" term
has to do with the rules analogous to
the centerfire BPCR and BPTR matches:
Matches here in Wisconsin and, elsewhere like Raton
and Phoenix have an
"Original or Traditional" category:
Single Shot 22 LR Rifle , Iron sights cross stix
They also have a Unlimited Category for bolt gun shooters.

The concept is to add this category as an "understudy"to centerfire BPCR and fun additional match to our shooting sports.
There is similar challenging scaled down wind and mirage doping requirements in shooting the 22s for gong matches and paper matches.

These 22 matches have more participants lately than
the centerfire BPCR matches
GREAT FUN, no reloading, etc,  and challenging to shoot
22s.
EVEN in Winter:  Jan 10th we are shooting an "Indoor-Outdoor 22 gong match from inside warm clubhouse at Lincoln Gun Club, Merrill,WI:
40yds Offhand, then 100,150.190yds off rest as we move from window to window for a 40 shot total matchl
We expect again to have up to 40 shooters!

The Black Powder Cartridge News is not dead...in fact, it is going better than ever.

Agreed, Steve. Between that and what the ASSRA Journal has become, I'm not sure anything else is needed. Like Ballards, however, we can always do with one more.

Looking at the latest edition that arrived in the mailbox a couple of weeks ago, I would say far from dead.

I agree there is room for all of the publications Smiley
What I like about Modern BPCR Shooter there is an emphasis on what is going on now. Nice to see matches, products from multiple disciplines and organizations. All related to BPCR/Single Shot.

The online version is very good, it diminishes some of the clutter.  I have forty years of mutiple rag subscriptions in my archives and I can't bring myself to throw any away but I can only store so many, need to go and make digital copies of everything... Sure...

Steve,

What I would love to see is a CD of the past issues of Black Powder Cartridge News. When I called Peterson, they told me that they are trying to locate back issues for just such an animal. In the meantime, I was able to secure 2011-2017 back issues for $2.50 a piece off fleabay. 2017-current are all on line.  Grin
