Saw a set of Redding 40-82 for $70 on ebay a few minutes back. Same person has 40-65, 45-90, 50-70, 45-120 & others too. Good luck  Wink

Thanks! I got the .45-90 dies I've been looking for at $59.

Vall,
Let me know how much you need to make bail after you get arrested for stealing.

Thanks,

I took the 40-82, waffled until Vall caved and bought the 45-90 so I didn't have to.  I already have those.

Don't have a 40-82, but it's cheaper for me to use my 40-82 brass and chamber a new rifle for it than it is to get 40-70 for my existing .40 rifle.

When I bought my Redding set of .40-82 dies (for early 1895 Marlin!) I remember there were different sets for different groove diameters. I needed the larger groove diameter set .410" IIRC...

I'm not worried about it.  I'll chamber the rifle, fireform some brass, and then decide how big I want the neck to be.  I'll run a decimal chucking reamer into the sizing die to get the exact neck I want, and turn the expander mandrel to match.

You don't have to live with what the manufacturer makes, if you need different.
