	I have 85 and 120 gr moulds in 25 caliber, but would like to try something in between in my 25-35 Winchester. Plain Base Thanks jack

	My only worry about tapered bullets i in fixed ammo. The twist is fast enough to stabilize my 120gr tapered bullets. I am going to try to see if they will crimp OK. I will get back to you. Thanks Jack

	According to my inventory, I have both an Ideal 25720, 96 grn FN and a Lyman 257418, 98 grn spitzer But I’m not clever enough to have notated whether either one is plain base or gas check. Would you like me to check? It isn’t the one you were looking for, I have that mold as well but I’m selfishly keeping it for myself! Otony

	Hi Jack, 258-231 is what I use for my double dimple stop 25-20 SS loads. It worked well for offhand but from the bench was only able to fire 2.5 to 3 inch groups. Cast half wheel weights and half linotype. I found the bullets had to be over groove diameter or they lead the bore. As cast they worked fine no lead. Sizing to groove diameter resulted in leading of the bore. The bullets just slip into an unsized case mouth. I can send some to you.

	Thanks Joe, Send me a few and I will try them. I did order this mould on eBay yesterday just because I could. I have a few of the Lyman 258231 bullets that I bought from western bullet years ago but they don’t show them available. I would like to find a load with similar bullets before I use them up (You need to *Login* or *Register* to view media files and links)
