Looking for rifle importer, Central Texas

I just made a deal to purchase a rifle from Europe.  I'm looking for someone who is able to import it for me.  If you are qualified or have recommendations, I would appreciate the help.

I also forgot Steve Bertram here on this board imports from Britain, but I don’t know about the Continent.

Here’s a post of Steve’s.  Pm him from it.

Scot didn't you know the rifle was offshore ? I've done this a couple of times years go and used Shipping/Import agents both times but I worked with and knew them personally. Lots of shops and dealers who facilitate the import of firearms actually use licensed Shipping Agents then compound charges on to you. These agents are full time pros in this game and though they don't operate for peanuts but they do open doors and keep your property moving without legal obstacles. It only takes an improperly handled form to choke up the transfer resulting in your rifle going to the  " holding pen " .

So bottom line is do your homework and I hope you can find an import agent who will get your rifle across into your hands. I know nothing about today's Tariffs and/or any recent restrictions associated with your purchase but you should always expect additional charges and fees buying and importing and understand it's never a flat fee but variable depending on country or source.

Best of luck
Rick

I did know the rifle was offshore and considering the prize, decided it was worth the trouble.

I’ve never used them, but Simpson,Ltd. imports firearms for individuals.  Even if you have someone else, the explanation of the process at their site is very informative:  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
