Anyone else shoot their Peabody ?

I have found using an unsized lubed 45 cal 500 grain cast RN behind an old lyman 288 scoop of trail boss to be a fun beer can killer at 100 yds consistently off hand. And what a neat action - the daddy to the Martini Henry of british lore.

Yes, I shot in in my teens in its original 43 Spanish. Then when I was in college I saw a picture of an original Peabody sporter and "converted" it and continued shooting it. Then 10 or 15 years ago decided that I liked shooting it so much that I had it rebarreled to 38 special so I could shoot it in Cowboy Silhouette pistol cartridge matches.

I built a 40-50 BN on an original action and really enjoyed shooting it. I sold it at a gun show (much to my regret) but it was fun while I had it.

Have a providence made 40-65 target model,  as well as a 56-50 original carbine  it has both the rim fire breech block as well as an original center fire breech block.
