A short while back we had a discussion about what Winchester called their single shot rifles.  In their sale catalogs is was always just called The Winchester Single Shot.
They had no reference to 1885 or high wall or low wall.
The science was settled!  NOT!
When I was ordering a factory letter from the Cody museum today, I got into a short discussion with the nice lady on the order desk and while she basically agreed with me, she said all the paperwork they have from the factory references them as the model 1885.

Go figure.

So no mention of the low wall or the 22 single shot 22 models or even the 37?

Not in the sales catalogs I have seen. They are reproductions of the original ones. I have the first one that had the single shot in it and the last one.

High Wall and Low Wall are both names Winchester never used, and they are only used by fans of the Model 1885.
