Sight insert cadddies

I need a sight insert caddy or two. In the past I used the hinged plastic type light a fishing fly box but the never seem to hold up to my gentle handling. Looking for replacements. Anyone tried the one from MVA for about $60? Any other ideas?

This is an improvised one using a mint box with magnetic strips to hole the inserts. It also works to hold an extra rear sight disc. A couple of times I got to the range and discovered I left the Hadley adjustable disc on a different rifle back at the house. Now I have ordered a second Hadley to resolve that problem.

The box and magnets is 108g or almost 4 oz. I imagine the MVA caddy is less than half that.

If your rifle is not in 7.62 and you can't hit what you are aiming at with de-linked machinegun ammo you are a pretender.

I had the MVA and it is an exceptionally well made caddy, solid aluminum. The problem for me is that the cavities only fit their inserts and I use Parker Hales's that did not fit. So I traded it off.

I’ve seen the MVA caddy. Like Kim says, it’s beautifully made. It appears you have MVA sights so it would work well for you. I’ve used the clear plastic ones that are sold for HP and Smallbore sights. They work well too.
I currently use a similar set up to your mint box. I have a hinged brass box from my muzzleloading stuff. I put stick on magnetic strips inside it to hold the apertures in place. Works for me!

I have the same ones Boats posted.  Shiloh used to sell them.  They are really nice.

I don't carry the one shown to matches often. Carrying Leather ( ones Alligator) boxes with slip out inserts better, everything in one compact package. Inserts used most in the small Lyman tins. The two CPA's Normally use Hadley disk, one MVA other Mike Stevens. Disk in the boxes have been drilled out, larger than the largest Hadley arpeture. They also hold the Tang sights when scope is mounted plus front sight accessories.

I am not sure where I ended up getting this but  I use an indexable endmill bit holder similar to what is pictured. Hit up your local machinist friends.

Ginger and orange?

Hey, those look like Ballard rifle inserts!
