Anyone with a 3D printer

I had an idea of a replacement for a rubber eyecup on a Merit Eye Disc that would be printed  using a flexible 3D printing filament.  Looks like there are some that result in a rubber like product

I know a guy who's into 3D printing and has a variety of equipment.

Do you have a .STL file or other the printer instructions file?

If a picture is worth a thousand words, why do we have captions?

No. Do you?  Smiley
I will do some sleuthing and see if I can get one generated.  I will remove one of the split ones and do some measurements.
I will get back to you but don’t hold your breath.

Thanks

It might be easier to buy a new rubber eye shield directly from them at :  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links);
Their email is email@meritcorporation.com

That link is problematic, at least on my iPad.

Pretty sure they are no longer in business…..

I sent an email a few months back and never got a reply.  Hard to search the net. Keep getting links to sanding discs.

Good find.  I sent an email a couple of days back.  No reply yet.
I ripped of the flared portion of the light shield leaving the outside and rear portions still covered by the neoprene.  I am thinking about machining an aluminum piece to slip over the body with a light shield flare and coating it with black rubber spray.
